**HELP ME** I'm taking birth control pills and I'm starting my period way before I'm supposed to!!? |
I had a baby June 19th, and by July 25th I started my first period. I went to see the doctor for my 6 week check up on July 31 and I was STILL on my period then. He gave me Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo birth control pills. He told me to start them when I got home to dry up my period because I was on it for a long time it seemed like. Now I started them that day and I started my period again before I hit my last week of pills. What's the deal? I'm really freaking out because I've never had this happen to me before. Is this normal? Sometimes it takes awhile to get on the schedual of the pills, plus I image it can take a few months for your body to get back on track after having a baby. Or maybe the hormone levels are wrong for you- I had to switch a few times because I got my period every two-three weeks on most pills. Talk to your doctor, he will be able to give you better advice then anyone on here. |

If this is the first time you have taken birth control pills then there is a chance that you could get pregnant. You are supposed to use a backup method for at least a week when you start the pill... This is all part of the information that people like me must take into consideration. I have never been on the pill because of the harm I think it does to my body. And then later on I began to ...
