I REALLY need help concerning my Birth control pills?

okay I've been on a low hormone birth control pill, I have missed a few pills here and there through out the months. So the month before this, I thought i was pregnant, but had a light period not normal like the periods before so I thought ok i'm not, so i keep taking my pills, but i missed 1 or 2 this month and again thought i was pregnant this month, I didn't really have a period, it was really light spotting and mostly showed when i wiped, and so i took a HPT and of course BFN, now I still feel just off my game, but I know it could also be because of the missed pills. So my question is if I AM pregnant, how bad is it that i'm still taking my pills? I heard it's not harmful from some people and others say it will kill my baby, or cause serious birth defects? I can't get into the doctor so i don't know what to do, I can't exactly stop taking the pill as my DH and I have no agreed on me coming off to TTC #2, I just don't want any harm to my child if there is one in there!! I do believe my pamphlet in my b/c says it won't cause serious fetal harm but others say different so what is it?

Stop taking them and use an alternate form of birth control until you can get to the doctor. And if you are so worried about not getting pregnant again you really need to find a different form of birth control that you don't have to remember every day, because it sounds like you just can't handle remembering to take your pill with everything else that is going on in your life!

there is no evidence that birth control pills will hard an unborn child. however, since you are unsure call the doctor and schedule an appointment as early as you can. often times you can go take a blood test without making an appointment with the doctor. good luck.
