Should I start my next pack of birth control pills?

I stopped taking my birth control pills two weeks early. I didn't mean to, I just forgot a couple and decided might as well just start over. But then I only had spotted bleeding and not my period so I didn't take start the next pack. Now I'm having spotted bleeding again (this is when I would have normally had my period on the bc pill) but I'm not sure if I should start my second pack of pills. If this isn't my period, and I do start the next pack of pills, will I still have my period or will it wait until I get to the placebo pills again? Or is this spotted bleeding actually my period?

It really light bleeding. Like I used a pantiliner this morning and I stopped bleeding around noon. It was really short and now much at all. I know I'm not pregnant because I'm not sexually active, I'm taking the pills to help with cramping.

From my experience of using the pill for a few years now, I think you should start the new pack all over again. Since you weren't consistant for a few weeks your body was in the placebo mode, as if you were suppose to be on your period. If you start over with a new pack it will get your body back into the same mode like it used to be just be aware of what happens within the next two months. With all the hormones in the pills, it causes your body to be confused. I would also agree with you should start on Sunday and continue from there as if it was Day 1 again. If you see spotting it probably will be okay for a little until your body gets into the routine. However, use your best judgement, if you feel like in a few months if things aren't back in the routine then contact the doctor that prescribed it for you. I dont know if this will help but good luck.

the spotted bleeding might be ur period. bc lightens it up on some girls. u can start ur pills when ur on ur period its ok. they will just stop ur period like always. just when u skip a pill or two dont stop the wholw week again, if u really dont like taking a pill everyday look into something els like the patch, the nuva ring. like that

start taking them on sunday night
