Birth Control Pills and Pregnancy Tests?

I've been on the pill for almost a year now. Lately my boyfriend and I have stopped using condoms. How long do I have to wait before I can take a pregnancy test that will insure me accurate results?

Are you asking if the pill will affect the result of the test? It won't. Only pregnancy (and certain tumours) make your body produce HCG, which is what the tests look for. You don't have to wait for the pill to clear from your system to take a test.

You should get an accurate result from about when your period is due. Positive is always positive, negative could mean you tested too early.

Pending how long you have been on the pill it could take weeks or months, wait for you first missed period then take the EPT test and Good Luck.

Birth control pills won't affect the results of a pregnancy test. For an accurate result wait until you miss a period.
