I just started taking birth control pills and im wanting to skip my period ? |
the lai just started taking birth control pills and i am trying to skip my period on sept 25 if i take my active birth control pills will my period not come onst blue pill in the pack comes on the day of the trip should i just open up a new pack for it to work thats gonna get your schedule all out of shape, trust me, ive done it. To skip your period, you take the pills straight through and on the week that would be the inactive pills (usually the last week or 4th week with most pills) you'd start your new pack and skip the inactive pills. However since it is your first month with them you will probably have some break-through bleeding. This is common for the first month or so until your body gets used to pill being in your system. And always use back-up protection the first month and they're not fully effective until you've taken them for a full month. Just skip the placebo pills (the last set of pills in the pack) and start a new pack as you would for the next month. You may have some break thru bleeding since you just started the birth control, but you should mostly skip your period. If you don't want it, skip the placebo pills and just start a new pack. The gynecologist I talked to a Planned Parenthood said that this was okay to do for a couple months. If you want to skip your period, skip the pseudo pills and open the next pack to start the active pills. At worst, there may be a little spotting if anything. Enjoy your trip! |
