Just started taking birth control pills and my cycles are all over the place...? |
I keep starting my regular cycle in the middle of the second week of taking the pills. I take my pills at the same time every day, have never missed a day and for some reason I have started during that second week when I have a whole week of regular pills left to take (not the placebos yet). What is the deal??? Any help would be great. Thank you!! Birth control pills mess with your hormone levels so a result of this is a thrown off cycle. Its just a side effect and happens to all women on the pills, but its worth the protection. When you first start taking birth control pills, it will change your cycle slightly for a while, It's just your body getting used to it because your changing all the natural hormones to stop the lining in the womb thickening. That is normal until your body gets used to the fact that your taking birth control pills. If it lasts longer than 2 months then go back and see your doctor again and they can help fix it. But it should work it's way to a normal cycle all by itself. This is normal. If it continues, and it bothers you, go see your doctor. |
