The actual test won't hurt, it'll just be a kind of annoying, uncomfortable feeling, but when they put the speculum inside of you and open you up, that may hurt. But it won't be extremely painful or unbearable. No your doc should not give you a pap smear your a virgin and make sure you tell him or her.If they do you will no longer be a virgin. They use an instrument called an Ayala spatula to scrape of cells from your cervix to check for cancer cells. But if you have not had intercourse they probably won,do it.Even though they might give you an ultrasound. If you are a virgin no one will do a pap smear on you- Your hymen will be still intact and the Doctor will refuse to perforate your hymen with their speculum just for the hack of getting the PAP smear. Do the PAP smear only after you are sexually active. If you are planning to have sex just pop the pills and go for the PAP smear later. I used to work with gynecology... Per the guidelines, you do not need a pap. Pap smears are to test for cervical cancer that sexually active women are at risk for. You will need your first pap either 3 years after being sexually active or by age 21, which ever comes first. Many health care providers do one earlier, though. Personally, I always just do a urine test for std's, and give the Rx for the pill if the teen is young and has not had sex. BTW...ask about the HPV vaccine...you and your parents may decide it's right for you to help to avoid the cervical cancer. Yes they hurt and yes they will give you one. They don;t hurt super bad. But i have found that it all comes down to the person doing it. There have been times that i didn't feel a thing and other times i left feeling like i had menstrual cramps. So it really all depends. Its not something you will enjoy, but it is part of being a women. Good luck. I can remember my first pap, how i was scared. Its normal though. No you only get a pap smear 3 years after you have sex. They'll ask you if you've ever had sex. Say you need it to regulate your period. Take orthotrycylen it clears up your face and makes your breast bigger!Go to planned parenthood, its free and doesnt take long at all. Well I went when I was a virgin and I told them that so they said the pap smear was unneccesary. But your obgyn maybe different. I heard a pap smear just felt uncomfortable and has a bit of pressure but doesn't hurt really and is over in no time. I certainly hope they wouldn't. I've heard rumors about being 18 and needing one but...I've avoided that one for a month so far. XD It depends on the dr you go to. If you aren't sexually active then why are going to get on birth control? Just for future? No pain, but a little pressure and maybe a bit uncomfortable. More mentally uncomfortable then anything probably. They'll take a look, take a swap with a Q-Tip and feel both ovaries. Very quick & no big deal. You'll be fine. hey im getting my second one tomarrow.it doesnt hurt at all.you dont even really feel anything.i was scared when i got my first one but trust me your worrying about nothing.so justt relax and take a breather youll be fine i doesn't hurt, its just a little uncomfortable. just relax, it makes it alot easier, and it goes by really quick too. no. At most they may give you a blood test. Pap smears are to test for other things. Your too young for a pap anyway. no you shouldn't be required to get one until you become sexually active or 18..which ever comes first. so dont worry. yes they are going to do a pap smear... it can hurt if itss your frist time and even after that it does not feel good at all.... it doesnt hurt but its sooooo uncomfortable and cold It kinda hurts every on virgin or not...but yes you will need one :( no it woont feels lil ticklish |
