Birth Control Pills, honest question.? |
If your taking the pill and don't take it at even close to the same time everyday, is the pill still affective? Is it less affective? I will give you my honest answer [and keep in mind this is how MY body worked, yours could be totally different!] I was on the Pill for 7 years. I never took it at the same time, I would miss days here and there and the only time I ever used a condom was when entering a new relationship -- once both of us were tested for STD's we never used condoms again. I never got pregnant until I stopped taking my birth control. Then I got pregnant within just a few weeks. I'm not recommending you take your birth control this way, but it worked for me. If you take the pill at really different times, say, at five am one day and then like 11pm the next you're in for some problems. try to take it as regularly as you can, at least within a 12 hour period of the time you last took it. for example, you take the pill at 8pm monday, take it between 2pm and 2am the next day. that way it'll still be effective. also, my doctor said it's dangerous to take the pill twice in short succession. take it seriously, or else you'll et pregnant or mess up your body. Well, According to my doctor, it is more effective if you take it the same time everyday. As long as you take it everyday though, its going to work. I think the pill is STILL effective but better ASK TO YOUR DOCTOR. It is less affective. You need to take your BC at the same time everyday, because then it gets on a cycle. To be safe you could use a condom for a few days. Always use a condom unless you are sure you are in a monogamous relationship. The Pill won't stop STDs. The only sure fire way not to get pregnant, is abstinence. No sex! |
