Missing last birth control pill??? |
I missed the last pill of my birthcontrol, because my period started the day i was suppose to take that pill so i just didn't take it. Is that okay? Should I just start my new pack normally? Yes, just start you next pack when you normally would. If it was the only pill missed in the cycle, you shouldn't have to worry about conception, but it you missed any more, or took any late during that cycle, make sure you use back-up protection (condoms, etc) for at least 2 wks. Source(s): 17 yrs taking birth control pills + 2 yrs using the Nuva Ring I don't see why it should matter. But make sure that if your type of birth control pills has the dummy pills to take during your period,be sure to take those and continue as you normally would. And be Thankful that your period came instead of being late or not coming at all.(smile) God Bless and Good Luck!!! Personal Experience!!! If your strip has 21 or 22 pills, then you should start your next strip 1 day earlier than normal, this means not stopping 8 days in between strips. If your strip has 28 pills, there is no problem. (I'm a gynaecologist) no thats not ok...for no reason you should stop the pill, if your period came with the active pill is probably because your body is not used to the pill or its just normal. take the pill as soon as you can and use a contraception for like a week....or you will be pregnant/......good luck hun |
