Can the birth control pill cause mild feelings of depression?

Can the birth control pill cause mild feelings of depression?

Yes it can, depression's one of the listed side effects of birth control pills. Physhicians consider that the main side effects (depression, increased apetite therefore sometimes weight gain, decreased sexual drive) should last for no longer than 3 months after starting the administration of birth control pills.
When i started taking these pills, i did experience mild depression during the first 2-3 months but then everything went back to normal. However, not all women taking pills will experience these side effects.
So I've read...
it really depressed me when the wife forgot to take it!
