Starting the birth control pill !?? first day or sunday start? whats the difference??


whats the difference between starting the pill on the first day of your period and the sunday after you start your period??

If you start on the first day, it becomes effective sooner, by a week or two. That is really the only difference. A sunday start is easier to remember though since pill packs are designed that way.
You can start it anytime during your cycle as long as you know your not pregnant. Its called the "Quick Start". Look it up! Thats what I did.
As long as you start it while on your period dont leave it to late or it may end before you start the pill and it will be inaffective.. your best bet is to do it on the first day
