Can the birth control pill "Triquilar" make you gain wait over time? Can it also possibly effect your mood?

I was curious because I have been to see two different doctors, one said yes and the other said no...a little confusing so I need your advice!

Yes. OCPs are known to cause weight gain and also depression if taken over a longer duration of time.

Some other side effects of OCPS include:
Nausea, vomiting, Headache, Migraine, Breakthrough bleeding, Breast Discomfort, acne, Leg vein Thrombosis, MI/stroke, Rise in BP, Gall stones, etc.
Yes. Anything introducing foreign hormones into your body can effect mood. The weight gain can be controlled by watching your appetite and portions.
ALL birth control pills (meds) can cause weight gain. no matter what the brand/type they can add up to 5 lbs a month. and yes...they are a hormone...so they can cause you to react/act differently
Babe Yeah anything you take can make it happen I have taken birth control since I was 14 teen and I take the lowest I can get on cause it made my heart hurt Gain weight and all . I Take Prozac and that's made me gain a lot of weight . Speak with your OBGYN that really know what they are saying
Birth control pills have never made me gain weight, but I do know of some people that has gained weight. I don't beleive it effects your mood. If you think you are gaining, then try and switch your pill. sug. ortho. Good Luck!
