Does the birth control pill make you hungry? |
I started the pill for the first time a week ago. The last two days, I've been really hungry for rich foods. But I'm already overweight, and I'm trying quench the hunger with low calorie snacks that I bought in preparation for this very thing. But I'm not feeling satisfied. I really want steak deburgo! Could the pill be causing these crazy hunger fits?! I didn't think it was going to be this bad! The time frame indicates that its most likely the pill. Hormones can definitely affect appetite (increase or decrease). Since there are so many different combo products, contact the prescriber and let them know what you're experiencing, they should most likely prescribe another brand. See this website for more info: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drugi... Rick the pharmacist yes the pill sometimes cause weight gain in that matter by causing you to have a increased appetite you may need to go back to get the pills changed for a different one that doesn't cases that effect The pill sort of convinces your body it's pregnant, hunger can be a side effect and so can sore breasts and other pregnancy symptoms, I had morning sickness with the pill - no joke, that might be preferable for you. See if you can stave off the steak craving with fresh vegetables. If you gotta have the steak, have it for lunch and then lay off the rich foods. |
