Bleeding while on birth control pill?

I am on the pill (or birth control pill as you americans call it...) normally, im fine with it, no mid-month periods or spotted bleeding etc.
My partner and I broke up, and it had been about 6 months since I last had sex, only since i did the other night, i've been bleeding?
is this at all normal?

don't tell me to see my doctor, he's a waste of time, air and space

We 'Americans' as you call us, also call birth control pills "the pill", thank you very much.
Break through bleeding is common when the 'birth control pill' becomes too weak for your system.
It's also common for light bleeding to occur after having sex when one hasn't had it awhile. Maybe you weren't physically ready for it, not wet enough, or it was a little rough for the first time in a long time.
I wouldn't worry about it as long as it stays light and doesn't last long. If it gets painful, or heavy it would be a good time to visit a doctor and have her check into it for you in case there's a tear somewhere.
Good Luck,
From an American
it happens sometimes. my doctor said that sometimes when you are on the pill and you get these dotty things then it might be that you hage to change the pill because it is not the right one (composition, %of hormones) and so on. don't worry, but do see a doc.
