While you're on birth control, how do spacer pills work?

While you're taking the seven space pills, for that week, are you still protected and allowed to have intercourse?

They're just placebos to remind the person to take the pill every day. They have no hormones, but since the body's been tricked into believing it was pregnant for the 3 active weeks, and suddenly its not getting those hormones anymore (for that one week), it's not likely that the body will ovulate during that one "unprotected" week, so the person is still protected.
The package says yes you are still protected. They're just reminder pills to make sure you don't forget or get out of the habit of taking a pill every day. I know alot of people that don't even take them
Spacer pills are just sugar pills. They just help to keep you in the mind of taking a pill everyday. There is no medicine in them at all. That is why the packaging says to be extra careful your first week of the next pack. You should always use extra protection with the pill anyways since it isn't 100% against pregnancy, and not at all effective against STD's.
Yes you can have intercourse, but you should have your period during this time
