When is a birth control pill considered late? |
Basically, im asking is it considered late if you take one min or 12 hours or 4 hours late, what is it? Late would be anything as early as an hour after the normal time you were to take it. When giving medications as a nurse we LEGALLY have a one hour leway each way meaning we can go up to an hour early and up to an hour later than the time it says on our med cards. When the state and federal inspectors come to our facility this is one of the things they check so this is a true fact coming from a nurse. 24 hours from the time you took the last one. if you have waited more than 25 hours since the last pill, you are late and should use other methods of birthcontrol for at least four days. RN take it as soon as possible then take your normal at the normal time.. |
