How long before birth control pill starts being effective?


I just started the pill for about 7days now. When will it become effective to not use any condoms again? Thanks

I was told by my doctor 2 weeks. To be safe, I would wait one month.

A week.... but read the package to make sure....babies are the spawn of satan.
This is a question you need to ask your doc or pharmacist as there is always a difference of opinion. Talk to one or the other in the morning to find out when it starts being effective. You should have asked the doc this before you left his office with the prescription.
