Is anyone taking the birth-control pill name Estrostep Fe? Do you gain weight from them.?
I'm not familiar with Estrostep Fe, but I was on a variety of birth controls pills & while I never gained weight, I had a near fatal pulmonary embolism & minor infarct. Doctors advised NEVER to take any other hormones. AFTER discontinuing BC pills, I gained 30 pounds that took a year & a half to lose. Post mIenopausal, I refused HRT for years. Then--for some reasons of temporary insanity!--& encouraged by my OBGYN, I used premarin for three years. It made me feel wonderful, however, when going to ER with an acute ankle sprain, another blood clot was discovered JUST IN TIME & I must now be on a blood thinner for the rest of my life. (Serious stuff.) After premarin, I gained 25 pounds. Sweetie, if I were you, I'd be much more concerned about more serious effects than weight gain--which happened to me ONLY AFTER DISCONTINUING. I've now lost 11 of the 25, with serious health diet & much walking. I hope this helps!
You gain an average of 10 pounds from birth control, no matter what brand it is. Increase exercise and decrease calories!
