I took the wrong birth control pill-what shoudl I do now? |
I am on the second week of pills and I took a pill from the third week by mistake. They are different colors, so I assume they are different strenghts. Will I need to get a new pack or can I just keep on going? just go back to taking your regular ones, you're fine. although don't be surprised if you spot a bit, depending how sensitive you are. Birth control pills have progesterone in them, which prevents women from ovulating, but the third week has estrogen in them as well, to induce you to have a period the following week--you might spot for a few days, but don't freak out. I would just keep going. Generally the first week is the strongest dose. Just finish em out I switched to a new pack and then bled for the whole month just gonna change the period. You probably had better call the place/Doctor/clinic wherever you got your pills from. Because the ones that are a different color, are just like sugar pills. Just a placebo for you to take so that you stay in the habit of taking one every day. But, there are no hormones or birth control in them. If you don't want to get pregnant, either don't have sex until your next cycle, or consult with your OB/GYN. |
