Cramps during first month of using birth control pill? |
I just started a new birth control pill after being off my old one for a couple years due to side effects. I am currently on week 4 (placebo week) of my pill. This whole month I have had a lot of cramps kinda like the kind I used to get prior to starting my period, except these lasted all month long and practically every day. Has anyone else experianced this and will it go away after a few month? Thanks! Yes, you can have cramps with some pills. Different pills cause different side effects. I was on one once that caused me to be so sick to my stomach the entire month that I never felt like eating. It also might take a couple of months for your body to adjust to this new one. I take it so my fibroids won't hurt so much and it took a couple of months to get going, if I remember correctly. That is not normal. Cal you gynecologist and report it. The cramps could be symptoms of something else. So call. Honey it sounds like you need to contact your doctor. I have taken birth control pills before and it didn't give me any side effects, it sounds like they may be too strong, could the pills be defective? Call your doctor sweety! |
