Ladies, Do you think taking 1 birth control pill could throw off my cycle?

So here's the deal...

I haven't taken birth control pills in months since I haven't been having sex. One night last month I knew I was going to be getting it on so I took one pill just in case.

Now my period is about two weeks late and I'm getting worried. I haven't taken a pregnancy test yet so I can't be sure if I'm pregnant or if the pill altered my cycle and maybe I'll get it later.

Any thoughts???

taking 1 BC pill will not protect you at all. You have to be on it every day for 1 week (for most brands of pills) before it is effective against pregnancy.

While there may be a possibility that the 1 pill messed up your cycle a little, I highly doubt it. Your period is probably delayed because of pregnancy or stress. I highly suggest a pregnancy test. Source(s): health counseling experience
Well first thing, birth control pills only become affective after using them for two weeks.

So I'd get a pregnancy test.
One pill could have stimulated your ovaries. It certainly didn't prevent a pregnancy. You are too dumb to be having sex.
You are highly likely to be pregnant. You were NOT protected if you only used the pill because it takes a month for the pill to get into your system and be effective.
Been on the pill fourteen years.
