Is it OK to have alcohol while on the birth control pill?

Is it OK to have alcohol while on the birth control pill?

Absolutely. BC pills alter hormones to prevent pregnancy, alcohol does nothing to alter hormones. The only thing advised against while taking BC is smoking, that is due to clotting risks. Antibiotics are one of the only things that could make your bc ineffective.
Other than the fact that you might not have all your wits about you and it is more convenient not to get pregnant there isn't any danger.
In moderation...but I would not make it an everyday thing...alcohol could possibly interact with the hormones, and either cause you to have an imbalance or cause the pills not to work properly.
Plus, when you are inebriated, you might forget to take your pill...
Perfectly safe. There is no interaction between the pill and alcohol.
Me - I've been using oral contraceptives for years.
yes it is as long as your not taking the pill with alcohol....but if you take your pill then later have a few drinks thats fine
It dosn't hurt you while your on the pill to have an occasional drink or for that matter a girls night out and totally S**t faced. So go ahead and have that glass of wine! Cheers!
