Is it tue that being obese can make your birth control pill less effective? If so, how? Efficacy can be reduced by excess body fat, because the hormones are absorbed by the fat rather than going to the glandular areas of the body where they're needed. This is even more true with the shot than the pill. It really depends on how much excess body fat you're carrying around. Yes it is true, that is why you have to go to the doctor so he can prescribe the RIGHT pill better suited for you. It has to do with the body mass, and the dosage in the pill you are taking. i think obesity prevents you from getting pregnant. im overweight and i have tried getting pregnant for 4 years and its not possibe Yes , it is true. Due your body size the pill needs to be strong enough to work into your whole system. Check with your doctor to be sure you have an adequate dose. Being obese also leads to many health problems,such as heart attack, respiratory problems, difficulty in getting pregnant, shortened lifespan and many others. Please, for your own health try to eat healthy fresh foods and get more exercise to lose weight while you can. I am not trying to be judgemental but being honest and concerned. |
