Yesterday was about 80/85 degrees and I had my birth control pill on me outside all day.Effected by heat? |
Yesterday I went to Warped Tour and had my birth control first in my pocket for about an hour then my bag for the rest of the day.It was about 80/85 degrees all day.Do you think the pill was affected by the heat or is that not extreme enough to effect it? G'day Nikki B. Thanks for the question. You are supposed to keep them at room temperature away from heat and moisture. Room temperature is defined as 72 degrees F or 22 degrees C. Your bag was a good place to keep them because it wouldn't be exposed to sunlight and would be relatively cool. Your pocket was not so good due to your natural bodyheat. If you had kept them in your car in direct sunlight, it would have been even worse. I would think that you should be OK. Check the instructions on your pill or with your pharmacist to see what temperatures can make the pill ineffective. There may also be something on the side of the pill container This question is more important if you had sex after the Warped Festival. If you did, you might want to try the morning after pill just in case. If not, you should be fine by just taking your pills at the regular time. The next time you are at the doctor or having your prescription filled speak to the doctor or pharmacist about it. I have added more sources for your reference. I hope you had a great time at the Warped Festival. Regards |
