Is it normal to start period early during first month of birth control pill?

I have only been taking the pill for 10 days...(started on the sunday after my last period like the Dr. said, that was 4 days after last one ended) and I still have 11 days of "active pills" left before the "reminder" pills. Is this normal? Definately not spotting..bloated, heavy flow, irrritable, the works. Will I get another Period in 11 days, or is my system just regulating itself? I am really only about 10 days early, but I wonder if I will start again when I finish the pack in two weeks!!!1

It can take a good 2-3 months for your body to get regulated to the pill, so this is quite normal, including spotting between periods. Source(s): I am a nurse for over 21 years
During your first month of pills you will be irregular. This is natural. Your body is in the process of regulating according to your pill schedule. It will pass.
Yes. But the bleeding is called break through. It's not your actual period. (as in your not releasing your egg) Your cervix is just adjusting to the new hormones. If break through bleeding continues after three months (assuming you take your pills correctly) then call your doctor and let them know. You may need a different pill
