I been sick lately of the flu does cold medicine blocks the affect of birth control pill?

I was sick in the past week but ibeen taking my pills of birth control as normal but now my period only last two days should I be worry.

If you were actually being sick then this can affect the pill and usually it says to not have sexual contact for 7 days just as if you have missed one. If you are worried get yourself and test. Hope all is well.
If you are on an antibiotic, this will affect the effectiveness of your birth control. You should also you a back-up birth control like condom and spermicide while on an antibiotic. Other flu and cold medicines should not affect the effectiveness.
The medicine does not block the effect of bc pills but you should not take that medicine. See this site below for more about colds and flus. See fat loss tip # 11 on home page for articles about bc pills by 2 MDs. Antibiotics work on bacteria but have no effect on colds and flus which are viruses. I hear some MDs still give them to people with the flu.
