I'm spotting while i'm takeing birth control, i've taken 12 pills, how long will the spotting last?


PLEASE HELP!!! I'm going to hawaii next Friday to see my husband for the first time in 5 months, so i don't want any problems.

Don't worry it's completely normal w/ the pill. it shouldn't last long at all

spotting or breakthrough bleeding can last up to 3 months after you start on the pill

you can call your PCP or whoever prescribed you the pills...spotting can mean that the hormones are to low for you...explain that it is discomforting and asking if you should do anything differently, including getting additional hormones to take...they will probably advise you to continue on this pack until you can see if it clears up...this is normal, but after 3 months it is not. I had break through bleeding that was a level with a normal period, and I had to immediatly be put on a hgher dose with three levels through out the month.

but honey, it has been 5 months, I do not think he will care...you better put a towel down and get it on anyways.
