I started birth control last month the day after i ended my last period. I am now taking the 7 inactive pills. |
i have yet to start my period and I am on the 4th pill already. I am getting worried. help! Why are you worried? Did you have unprotected sex before using up the entire month package of birth control pills? If you read the package of pills it should come with a pamplet and explain when it is "ok" to have sex. If this is the case, get a pregnancy test at your local store and test with first morning urine. what was the duration of flow. during your last period ? Ideally birth control pills should be started on the fifth day. If you had taken later than that, your period may be delayed by a couple of days, The O.C.pill results in supression of the production of egg from the next period only , as the egg which was released during this period may fertilise and there is likelihood of pregnancy. If you do not get periods after the 7 inactive pills are over, do a pregnancy test and if negative , continue with pills. But remember, with O.C. pills, there is still a chance og becoming pregnant. It may take a pill pack or two to get on track. On Kariva (birth control pill) for 11 months. |
