Advice about birth control, not happy w/ the pill ?


I started on the pill as a teen, ok for then. I took a few breaks and got off of it about a year ago. The pill made me 'feel fat' and sex drive was at like zero. I'm in a monogamos relationship using condoms. I feel better, no more bloated feel, and my sex drive has been back with a vengence! However my bf and I miss the feeling w/o condoms, although he is willing to sacrifice that so I still have a sex drive. Can anyone suggest anything else ?

Speak to your doctor about it, maybe you need a different brand of birth control. I dont know what else to tell you, but its good that your boyfriend respects you like that, hope this helps!!
Try a different pill wit ha different hormone. Go back to yoru PCP and tell him that you didn't like the side effects, maybe ask for a progestin only pill.

You could try the patch or the shot
I suggest the Depo shot. I have been on it for over a year now with no problems. I didn't have the weight gain that I got with the pill or the mood swings. And I don't have to remember to take it!
