Good birth control...that's not a pill?!? |
I have tried taking the pill three different times in the last 4 years. I do well taking the pill for the first two or three months then I slack. I know there is the shot and patches and probably some other things. But I don't know much about them. I do hate reading and I'm sure I should. But my big problem is forgetting. So I would love to hear what works best for other people with the same problem! thanks try gaining a bunch of weight get an IUD put in ,then you won't have to worry about forgetting have u tried depo? i gained lots of weight so i switched to pills. the patch isnt so great for your bod, it causes heartattacks and such. i would say just stick with the pill. or using a condom (but hey, thats like saying forget sex! haha) use a condom If you forget to take a pill. Depoprovera (shot every 3mo) would be a great option for you. If you've had a baby already, consider an intrauterine device. NuvaRing works best for me. It is a flexible ring that is inserted into the vagina for 3 weeks and then taken out for a week, so you can have a period. After that you insert a new ring. It has the lowest dose of hormones compared to the Pill and the Patch (which isn't being so heavily endorsed nowadays due to increase chance of developing a clot). It works well for me and its the lowest maintance birth control I've ever been on. I know you said you dislike reading, but check out Planned Parenthood's website. Its a great source of information about all types (hormonal and non-hormonal) of birth control. www.plannedparenthood.com www.nuvaring.com |
