Are there any side affects from switching from the birth control patch to yaz the pill? |
Are there any side affects from switching from the birth control patch to yaz the pill? I didn't have any side effects. The amount of hormones in the pill version is typically less. The only difference I've noticed is that on the patch my cramps totally went away, with the pill I get a little bit of cramps... not really anything else though, but everyone is different. I did not have any side effects when I switched. I don't know about the yaz pill. But i recently switched from the patch to a pill. Be prepared to have irregular periods for a couple of months. The patch kept my periods so regular that when I switched, I freaked out for over a month wondering if I was pregnant! Hopefully you'll have better luck than me. Good luck! I switched from the Othro Evera due to an allergic reaction. Unlucky way to find out that I was allergic to adhesives. :P Anyway, I was asked to wait two weeks before starting the pill form of birth control. Unfortunately in those two week I was told ( please excuse the bluntness) to either not have sex or to use another form of protection. After that Yasmin ( pill I was put on ) was not a problem for me. I had very mild spotting on and off for a couple of months and sense then I've not had problems with the medication... other than remembering to take it. I do get spotting if I forget to take the pills or if I try and go off schedule for my period. |
