Can you get pregnant even if you used a condom, birth control, and taken a morning after pill? |
i would like to know because my bf said that she used all of those things but is late, then again she also said she was drinking could that have made it easier to get pregnant? Although the possibility of pregnancy is there any time one has sex, with all the measures taken, the chance is very low. However since your friend admitted to drinking, there is a possibility that the details are not completely accurate. Is she sure he was wearing a condom the entire time? If the condom is not put on first thing, some semen could have already been released, causing sperm to be present and increase chances for pregnancy. Also, if birth control pills are not taken on a regular schedule, they become less effective. The morning after pill is most effective when used within 48 hours of sex. Every 24 hours past intercourse the effectiveness is reduced. Although the chances are very very slim, she could be pregnant. More likely though, she is stressing about the possibility and that is causing the late period. I would advise her to see a doctor, or take a home test to give her a more definitive answer. Not all birth control is 100% reliable. Ask her to do a test it could be that she is just a little late trust me stress can affect when your period comes it happened to me before I thought I was pregnant and I was 2 weeks late but it was a false alarm. |
