What are types of birth control I can use without having to go on the pill or going to the doctor? |
What are different types of birth control I can get for me over the counter without having to get a prescription from my doctor? as nobody seems to actually be answering your question: You can not get the really effective birth control methods without a prescription. The only over-the-counter methods you can try are: Condoms, Spermicides (in the form of foams or gels), and *I think* you can get The Sponge. Of these methods condoms are the most effective but far from 100%. The best way is to use a combination of Natural Planning (knowing your cycle, and therefore, knowing when you are most fertile and avoiding sex on those days), condoms AND spermicide all together. Condoms are the most effective but absolutely not fool-proof. Often sperm can make it's way into the pre-ejaculation fluid that leaks from a man's penis, so if you have intercourse before putting the condom on you can still get pregnant even if he doesn't ejaculate. There's always the chance the condom can break also (and it's far more common than you think!). If you are just embarassed about getting a prescription, don't be. There are all kinds of places you can go that are discreet, like Planned Parenthood and free clinics. Nobody has to know you went and it may seem scary but nobody there is going to think anything of it, that's their job and they see a lot of young men and women every day. condoms abstinence? just good ol condoms and i think you can get the sponge now. but I wouldn't recommend it, and spermacide... Condoms, spermicide. Abstinence. condoms or dont have sex....duh not trying to be rude, but seriously...use some common sense. |
