Birth Control: Why doesn't my period start on the day I take my 21st pill?

I'm a 28 day pill taker and instead of my period starting on the 3rd Friday, it does on Monday or Tuesday. Why is that?

As im understanding your question you have your 4 rows of pills and you are asking if it should start on the first "white" pill or placebo pill? its b/c your body still has all the hormones in it from yesterdays pill, you should get it like the next day or day after but it want start immediatly and thats why it (can) last up to a day or two after the first colored pill is taken again. but thats just how it works (and its so funny that they tell you the pill must be taken at the same exact minute everyday b/c it doesnt stay in your system long enough!! but if that was true you'd start immediatly like your asking)
Your body goes through "withdrawal" from the hormones you were taking. The last 7 days of your 28 day pack are placebo pills and the lack of hormones triggers the body to menstruate.
