Stopped taking birth control pills...? |
I had been on different kinds of b/c pills, and 4 months ago I was put on Alesse 28. It seemed to be working out for me but I had to quit 3 days before I started my placebo pills due to emotional distraught. I wouldnt stop crying, i was pulling my hair out, i completely lost it. it was recomended by my dr that i completely quit asap. So I stopped taking them on Thursday night, and Friday night & Saturday I had unprotected sex. Saturday evening, I noticed some spotting, and then Sunday, I had what appeared to be my period. I still kind of have it, and it's Tuesday. It's going away though. Im not sure if its from stopping the pills, or the heat, but I have been extremely tired, and have zero energy. My lower stomach felt kind of heavy, and i had pains there too. I havent had them in a while since I was on the pill, it relieved those symptoms. So what are my chances of becoming preg, and will stopping the birht control pill haev any effect on my body or cause changes? Since you were about to start your placebos, your period was coming soon anyway. So, I wouldn't worry about that. Those symptoms you are feeling can be considered normal for a period. I always feel very tired during mine, for example. If they are severe, contact your doctor. As far as becoming pregnant, you will have to wait that out. I wouldn't worry too much though. (I have been told that you can become pregnant while on your period, but it was not common.) Just make sure to protect yourself from now on until you and your doctor can find a method of birth control that works for you. That is just your period. It is just like being on your placebo pills right now. You will probbably not ovulate for another week or 10 days. And yes, you are going to feel depressed and out of wack until your hormones balance back out ( can take a couple of months) The spotting is most likely due to your stopping your pills. Chances are you won't become pregnant so soon because your body is weaning itself off of the hormones, but if I were you, I'd go see your doctor. You never know, nature works in mysterious ways. |
