ANTIBIOTICS! What ever you do.....don't go unprotected while on the pill and taking antibiotics...TRUST ME ON THIS! Source(s): #2 was a Sinus infection surprise! MD Rx'd me antibiotics for sinus infection while i was on the pill and 9 months later my daughter was born.
Yes, certain antibiotics make birth control pills less effective. I'm sure there are other meds that do this too. Whenever you get a new prescription, tell your pharmacist that you're on the pill. They can tell you if any of your meds will affect your birth control pills.
antibiotics, and I know for a fact that the miagraine med topamax does too.. I would do research on it to be sure.
