Dangers of blood donation? |
My friend is going to donate blood, but i've read somewhere that when you do that, your body makes more and more every day and ultimately giving you higher pressure. Is this ture? Absolutely false. There are very few side effects of donating blood. It is such an important ability to do and helps so many people. No, that is not true. The body is constantly producing and removing red blood cells. When donating blood, only a small amount of total blood is taken, and even that is replaced. But it's removal will not stimulate the body to overproduce blood cells. Absolutely incorrect! I am a routine blood donor (as everyone should be!) and my average blood pressure is 95/65. Very low. I know quite a few people with low to normal blood pressure who have been donating blood for years. no the blood is donated to help people not to hurt them. |
