Did you know your blood donation can help more than one person? |
I gave today and they told me it would help at least two people and maybe three if two were children. That made me feel great and I am encouraged to give every two months now like I used to when I was in college 25 years ago. Well now, I just learned something new today. Thanks for sharing. I was a regular donor, the "blood suckers" as we called them, set up their equipment room in on of the smoko rooms at the workshop where I worked. I did know, but it is good to get a reminder now and then that what a little time spent can help so many. NO I DID NOT KNOW THAT... I DONATE TOO AND NOW I FEEL TWO TO THREE TIMES BETTER ABOUT IT :) yes |

Well now, I just learned something new today. Thanks for sharing. ...it's a wonderful thing to do and you get cookies and juice afterwards! also consider platelet donation - aka apheresis. it takes longer but is also a critical need in our hospitals. ...Only if you interpreted the after-donation instruction "Drink a lot today" in the wrong way... ...Yes I donate and have been doing it for 32 years. ...Donate blood; it's not tax-deductible but makes you feel good. A pint in time saves nine. ...I routinely donated while on Prozac, & also taking ibuprofen. They asked, I answered truthfully, & I was allowed to donate.. ...i donate blood all the time and I have been on my period at times...make sure you drink lot's of water ... vitamins etc...one pint of blood sounds like a lot to us...but it really isn't .... tottally up to you. i have never given blood. a friend of mine gave blood every month. its jest a choice. ... |
