How long does it take to get blood donation results? |
I donated blood two weeks ago. How long does it take to get the results? I mean the blood type and stuff. Deedee- American Red Cross will send you a card with your blood type on it within two to three weeks. It depends who you donated through though. Some places like Carter Blood Care let you check your cholesterol levels and blood type online. give it another week and try to find out if they have a website, where you can log in with your social security number and birthdate or something. I donate to LifeSouth, which is florida and georgia, and they have a website for the donars to check blood type, cholesterol, next donation date, that type of stuff When I started giving blood 5 years ago, they sent me a letter in the mail about 4-6 weeks after. You can also call the phone number on that piece of paper they gave you. You do know you should never use blood donation as a means of an HIV or other type of testing, right? |
