i've donated blood before, and for me it wasnt too pleasent. I got sick, dizzy, and i couldnt eat or drink for a while. but i sill flet good about donating blood. I just wont do it too often. they can be dangerous but most of the time they arent. Its only necessary if the american red cross is in desprate measures.

I donated over 10 gallons before I had cancer and they told me 'sorry, we can't take your blood any more'.
Necessary if you are going to have major surgery. Also since there seems to be a major shortage of blood everywhere. You could save a life. Donating plasma can also be a source of income for some people. Those centers pay around $20 a pop but they do limit how often you can donate.
