How long does the entire process of donating plasma or blood take, from donation to someone receiving blood?


How long after you give blood/plasme until someone actually receives it- including testing the blood or plasma and all that.

It might take about 30minutes for you to give away one unit of blood and it may take 1 whole day tasting your blood to see whether it is fit to be give to a cauallity. then the blood is kept in fridges while waiting for a casualty who needs it. If the casualty is there then it might take one whole hour transfusuing blood into the patient's body.
