Can you give blood if you had a previous blood transfusion?? Yes but you have to wait 6 months. Yes, but they have to make sure that you did not contract HIV from that blood transfusion. You will have to wait for several weeks after your blood transfusion before you can give blood. But if you have fully recovered from the cause of needing to get a blood transfusion, and you are cleared for HIV, or any other diseases, then i don't see a reason why you can't give blood. You can give blood but be sure to mention your transfusion. They will do all the testing on your blood regardless for infectious disease (HIV) anyways. |
