Muslims can't receive blood transfusion?

Ok another question...

So if a person eat haram thing and he go and do a blood donation. If a Muslim receive that blood what will happen? Isn't the blood haram considering what the person eat or drink (like pork and alcohol) for all of his life? Can Muslim receive the blood? But then again you can't tell right? So how do Muslims cleanse themselves? This means they can't receive blood transfusions?

Not sure where you are getting your information, but Muslims can receive blood transfusions. Even the biggest pork eater does not get pork in their blood (as another poster mentioned)!

However, Jehovah's Witnesses will not accept blood transfusions. Could you be confusing the two?

you dont have chunks of pork in ur blood :P Anyways .. yes muslim can accept blood transfusion if its necessary for health and survival.

Muslims dont need to cleanse themselves... inner cleasing is thru doing good deed and have a clean heart (from jealousy, hipocracy, etc) and outer cleasning is thru ghusl and wuduu.

Oh and i think they test the blood to before taking it to see if its healthy.
