Jehovah's Witnesses ( JW's ) - If one accepts a blood transfusion.....? |
then a few years later would like to join your organization, will they be allowed to do so? (I am a Christian - I trust in God alone who is perfect, I never will become part of any religion - I don't trust man and his sinful nature) What if you'd had a kidney transplant? Yes of course. Most all the answers above are good. Regardless of what you have done in your past, when you sincerely repent GOD forgives all things except sin against the holy spirit. As the world has seen, transfusions can kill you or leave you with a disease such as aids and many others. The WITNESSES were way ahead of there time because they have all ways refused blood. It is commanded by GOD to stay free from blood of any kind. The reason being that the blood is sacred and Carry's life which is sacred also to GOD. Skeptics such as people who apostasize against the truth will always disagree. But they will receive there reward in full. Yes. JWs do not hold you accountable for things you do before you become baptized as a JW. It is only after you become baptized and committed to the baptismal questions (wherein you state you will live by their beliefs) that you are held accountable for all your actions (and/or in-actions). Since the Christians in the first century let those who habits and professions required a change (tax collectors, whores, priests, etc) I figure that it would not be a big deal. We are all accountable to Jehovah whither we are one of Jehovah's Witnesses or not. I was transfused in Nov. 1980 after giving birth to my oldest son. I was bleeding severely and needed a D&C. The MD opted for a blood transfusion. As a Catholic I did not know any better and I don't believe anyone knew about HIV/AIDS yet. In March or April 1981 I started to study with the Witnesses. After a few weeks we encrouched on the subject of abstaining from blood. I felt so bad that I had hurt Jehovah, but my study conductor assured me that now I knew the facts and progressing to baptism would not be a problem. When my 2nd son was born in 1982 the MD, Hospital and on call MD were all made aware of the "Blood issue" with me. We took it one step at a time and all went well. I was assured that if needed I would given blood expanding fluids and iron supplements if needed. I had no increase in bleeding with the delivery and all was fine. I covered myself with paperwork to insure my integrity to Jehovah and my husband taking the stand with me. Hope this answers your question. My recovery from the first delivery had complications. I believe if I had not taken blood it would have gone better. what you did or do before you become a Jehovah Witnesses is forgotten by Jehovah. He is an awesome Father. and is very forgiving. if you are interested in studying with Jehovah Witnesses and become one, just remember Jehovah God reads our hearts. Sure. Most/All people do things that at one point we regret. When deciding to live as a Christian, many changes are often needed, and one often realises that former activities aren't in keeping with their new lifestyles. Yes, the past is the past. Yes, what you did before you became a believer is not important, it is how you are after you become one that Jehovah will consider. Jehovah is a forgiving God. Look at the list of things Paul said some of the ancient christians were and yet they were forgiven... Answer: Yes they would accept you. it's not like you got baptized with them and knew that it was a sin within the society. Yes. However, Jehovah looks at the heart, and he will decide if you are truly sorry. I believe you would, but why would you want to join a religion that has one of the highest suicide rates in the whole world? |
