What is the cost of a blood transfusion for a dog?

I am told that my daschund might need a blood transfusion. Has anyone had this done for their pet before? How costly is it?

My friends dog was hit by a car and was severely injured. He needed blood so I brought my crew up to the animal hospital to see who matched. Thankfully my APBT was a perfect match and he was able to give his blood to my friends dog.

Because they didn't go through a blood bank the price was cheaper, but it still was around $400.
