If a person has AB blood can they accept both a and b blood for a transfusion?

i need help!

If they are AB-, they can accept from A-, B-, AB-, and 0-. They CANNOT accept from anyone who is has a + in their blood type (A+, B+, AB+, O+).

Explanation: A, B, and + all represent molecules in your blood system. You can not accept a transfusion from anyone who has one of those molecules that you don't (because your body will react badly to the foreign agent). If you are AB- that means you have molecules A and B but not the + molecule. O- is the universal donor because they do not have any of the 3 molecules in their blood type. (O does not represent a 4th molecule, it just indicates the absence of A and B)

Yes, because AB blood has both A and B antigens.
