I had a blood transfusion am I able to donate blood? It depends how long ago.The Canadian Blood Services take precautions by asking a number of questions before you donate to determine risk factors and they test your blood anyway after donating and will contact you and your doctor if there is a problem. You will be asked a ton of questions about sexual behaviour , drug use , operations and transfusions , travel to various countries , ear piercing , tattoos , in order to determine your suitability as a candidate to donate.It may seem like a lot but you would like to know they scrutinised your donor the same way. Really??? Have u been released with no information or are you still admitted??? No u are not able unless u meet qualifications!! Best of luck!! courtesy of one of my many personalities!!! Yes, provided your blood count is normal and you do nt carry any disease. You better tell the people at the donation thing that u have had a blood transfusion. You don't want someone to get really sick when u were just trying to help!! |
