Does having a blood transfusion (2 pints) affect your mestruation??


I had a blood transfusion after internal bleeding 3wks ago. I just got my period today and it is much more uncomfortable than usual... could this be an effect of the transfusion?

Not the transfusion itself, but internal bleeding has been known to cause painful menstruation.
Nopes it cannot be. It might be something else.

It could, effect you, so hopefully it was coincidental. Waite until next month, and it will probably be back to normal.
No. The problem is probably more related to the cause of the internal bleeding and the stress it put on your body, (hospitalization, mental stress).
