Allergic reaction to a blood transfusion... a year later? HELP ME PLEASE!!!?

I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease of the colon, stomach, esophagus and rectum 2 and a half years ago, and initially received multiple blood transfusions in the summer of 2004. Since then, I have had a few more- the latest one being (I think!) December of 2005.

I have, over the last month or two, developed a strange, inconsistent rash- sometimes with huge white or flesh-color bumps, sometimes with little red dots. Sometimes it is widespread, sometimes not. It frequently pops up on my legs, but sometimes my back and feet, and beneath my chin and on my neck, whenever I itch even slightly, I get big red welts.

Now the rash is spreading quickly and very itchy, and even hurts in some areas. Now it is on my genital region. Horrifiyingly, I have been having pain during otherwise ordinary safe sex. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that neither my partner (I have only been with this one man) nor myself has an STD...
My Dr. is now looking at the transfusions.... what is going on?!?

Hi Kat

You must cleanse your system. It doesnt matter what disease of symtom you have. The blood must be cleansed or you will always have issues. Crohns disease was never actually cured because the toxins in the colon are still there. When we dont have regular bowel movements (30 min after we eat), the toxins sit in the colon and get into the blood and that is what causes illness and disease. You must do a colon and liver cleanse to jump start your health back to normal. Here are some more tips on Crohns.

Causes
Crohn's disease can be caused by a variety of factors, including poor diet and nutrition, food allergies, imbalanced levels of hydrochloric acid, impaired immunity, infections, lack of exercise, "leaky gut" syndrome, pharmaceutical drugs, and stress.

Note:
Pharmaceutical Drugs: The following drugs can all cause and exacerbate various gastrointestinal disorders, including Crohn's disease: Accutane, Alka-Seltzer Antacid and Alka-Seltzer Pain Reliever, Anturane, Genuine Bayer Aspirin, Bayer Plus Aspirin, Bayer Regular Strength Enteric Aspirin, Bufferin Analgesic Tablets and Caplets, Ceptaz, Clinoril, Cuprimine, Ecotrin Enteric Coated Aspirin, Feldene, Ilosone, Lamprene, Leukine for IV Infusion, Lopid, Marplan, Meclomen, Novantrone, Paraplatin, Piroxicam, Prokine I.V. Infusion, Retrovir, Rynatuss, Supprelin Injection, Suprax, Ticlid, Tolectin, Toradol IM Injection, Trecator-SC, Trilisate, and Voltaren.

Quick Action Plan for Crohn's Disease

1. Diet is of primary importance. Avoid all sugars, refined flour products, and carbohydrates, milk and dairy products, processed foods that contain preservatives and artificial sweeteners, alcohol, hydrogenated and trans-fatty oils, as well as foods that are common allergens.

2. Emphasize organic, fresh vegetables and non-citrus fruits, organic grains, as well as organic, free-range meats and poultry and wild-caught fish.

3. Drink plenty of pure, filtered water throughout the day. Gallon a day if you can.

4. Enema containing butyric acid two to five times a week. (Add one tablespoon of butyric acid to one quart of warm water.) Do a Colon Cleanse to clean out the toxins in the body. A liver cleanse will help new blood penetrate the sick areas and help the healing process.

5. Supplements with vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and zinc, taken with a multivitamin/multimineral formula. Essential fatty acids, especial omega-3 oils, are also recommended.

6. Stress reduction through the use of various mind/body medicine techniques, such as biofeedback, hypnotherapy, meditation and relaxation exercises.

7. If you smoke, stop and if you are currently taking aspirin or other NSAIDs, consider replacing them with safer, more effective natural remedies.

8. Soothing baths two to five nights and alternating hot and cold water packs placed over the stomach and upper abdomen.

9. Juice remedies include aloe juice; wheatgrass juice; cabbage, papaya, and carrot juice; and carrot, beet, and cucumber juice.

10. Juice of half a lemon with warm water, especially in the morning.

Best of health to you

Our bodies are weird..that said. You have been exposed to other peoples antibodies. You may have a new allergy source that didn't bother you before the transfusions. I developed a severe allergy to my parrot after having her for 14 yrs. My allergy was apparently brought on by pregnacy/childbirth. Ask your doctor if you can take antihystimines for your symptoms. Claritin or clarinex worked well for me. That is just my opinion-I am not a dr. Good luck!
I think we can develop an allergy to just about anything at anytime and any age. I am sure if your doctor doesn't know he will check with a specialist or refer you to one. Go to a prayer group in "Groups" and ask for prayer cause God can give your doctors wisdom and heal you.
Had transfusion with heart surgery.
You need to detox your body, as yes according to other viewers' answer, you might get this reaction through the transfusion where your blood type cannot go along with the donor's blood.
Easiest and effective way to detox is by taking liquid zeolite.
So take care and all the best.
Oh, I love all this detox stuff above ... really idiotic. Your doc can run some panels on blood to see what is going on as far as allergies, liver function etc. He might even send you to a derm. if he finds nothing. Just remember in the medical world, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, so if you don't get some satisfactory answers, from your primary, ask to see (a) (some) specialist (s).
Derms, allergists, rheumatologists, endochrinologists, etc.
