Does needing blood transfusion every 2 weeks indicate cancer?

Does needing blood transfusion every 2 weeks indicate cancer?

People suffering from hemophilia or sickle-cell disease may require frequent blood transfusions. Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/blood_trans...
No self-respecting doctor would just give someone regular blood transfusions without first thoroughly testing a person. You need to talk with your doctor, or the person you're curious about (I'm sure if you were the one receiving the transfusions, you'd know why). But, generally, no, blood transfusions could be needed for other reasons.
Not necessarily, but it does indicate a major problem.
